Sermon Series Psalms: Arms High and Heart Abandoned

In reality, it’s only when honest feelings and emotions are shared that real people can be known, loved and helped. And, sadly, often patterns of superficial communication spill over into our talks with God.

At the centre of the Bible is the book of Psalms, a great collection of songs and prayers that express the heart and soul of humanity. In them, the whole range of human experiences is expressed. David and the other writers share honestly, out their true feelings, reflecting a dynamic, powerful and life-changing relationship with God. They confess their sins, express their doubts and fears, ask for help and praise and worship Him, with arms high and heart abandoned!
