Advent is a most special time of year. It’s not a step before Christmas, it’s the beginning of Christmas! Advent allows Christmas to be, not just a one or two day celebration, but a month long season of joy and preparation and the building of anticipation that will make our Christmas days, when they finally do come, to be so much more precious and meaningful!
May we look back, this Advent Season, on all that has happened in our lives until now, on all that has happened in history and recognise how much we need our Saviour, and how much Jesus has helped and blessed us since we met Him. And may this give us a profound joy and satisfaction because we can also look forward, as Christians, with great hope and anticipation to His second coming and a new and perfect paradise promised to us!
May this Advent Season, and this Christmas time, be an incredibly wonderful time for you. Merry Christmas!
